He noted that Georgia purchase blue oil via three pipelines today: “One of them belongs to SOCAR (capacity 6-6.5 bln cubic meters). The second is Shahdeniz which can transport 2.7-3 bcm. The third pipeline transports gas from Russia and all there pipeline transport gas normally and don’t break the balance”.
Earlier, the General Director of Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation David Tvalabeishvili said that SOCAR can’t provide gas to Georgia incessantly.
According to him, Georgian demand for gas increased recently: “Sometimes, limitations occur in natural gas provided by SOCAR. Therefore, we are to save balance through Russian gas”.
