FIFA investigators to seek lifetime ban from football for Platini, Blatter
The investigatory chamber of FIFA
Last month, FIFA’s Independent Ethics Committee adjudicatory chamber banned Blatter and Platini, who is also the head of UEFA, from any football-related activities for a period of eight years over corruption allegations.

In May, several high-ranking FIFA officials were arrested on a US federal corruption warrant. Although Blatter was not charged alongside many of the other executives of the organization, he announced his resignation on June 2, four days after he being elected for a fifth term as president.

In late September, the Swiss Office of the Attorney General launched a probe into claims Blatter made a "disloyal payment" of $2.05 million to Platini in 2011, at FIFA`s expense, for work allegedly performed during the period 1999-2002.
