Swine flu claims first 2016 victim in Georgia
The first Influenza A (H1N1)-, or swine flu-, related death in Georgia for the current year was recorded in capital city of Tbilisi, AzVision.az reports citing Georgian media.
The National Center for Disease Control and Public Health of the country informed the abovementioned, reported Gruzia Online news agency of Georgia.

A 39-year-old man, who was transferred to Tbilisi from western part of the country, died of the H1N1 virus.

Specialists, however, assure that there is no H1N1 pandemic threat in Georgia, at present.

“We expect a growth in the disease in February,” the physicians said. “Albeit not such that it will be close to the pandemic boundary.”
