The delegation led by Azerbaijan`s Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel General Kemaleddin Heydarov paid an official visit to the People`s Republic of China (PRC) on September 23-24 at the invitation of Chinese Minister of Civil Affairs Li Liguo.
Press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations told APA that the delegation visited National Disaster Reduction Center and Civil Defense Association in Beijing during the visit. The delegation was informed about the works being done in the organization of civil defense, prevention of emergency situations in China.
Then, Heydarov had a meeting with Liguo.
Heydarov gave detailed information about the activities and structure of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations and noted that there are broad prospects for cooperation between the relevant agencies of the two countries.
Ligou, in his turn, underlined the importance of cooperation with the Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations and stressed that the mutual visits will be useful in this regard.
Following the meeting, Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) on emergency management was signed between the Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People`s Republic of China.
Moreover, during the visit the delegation of the MES visited a number of institutions engaged in the manufacture of equipment used during emergency situations
