“Some 90 additional water meters are being installed to ensure the water flow control at production sites of the refinery,” read the message. “Measures are being taken to strengthen the saving of the used steam and fuel.”
SOCAR, further saying additional measuring units are being created, added that narrowing devices and measuring instruments are being installed at the refinery.
“As a result of the work conducted at the refinery, it has been possible to save a great volume of water, steam and electric power,” added the company.
Moreover, the refinery has started cleaning dry gas through the use of methyl diethanolamine.
This will allow saving caustic soda and using the initial oil processing facilities #202 and #305 and the bitumen facility #401 at a maximum efficiency, and saving electric and thermal energy and all kinds of water obtained from the outside.
