He made the remarks at a roundtable meeting titled “Challenges of Globalization: between tradition and transformation”, held as part of the 4th Baku International Humanitarian Forum.
The roundtable meeting participants – the prominent science and political figures – submitted their reports on various topics, discussed the problems and the future of globalization, and stressed the importance of the national identity and self-determination issues.
It is expected to adopt a declaration following the roundtable meeting.
The UEFA Euro 2020 will be for the first time ever held in several countries.
Organization of the tournament in such a format is related to the 60th anniversary of Europe’s first football championship – the 1960 UEFA European Nations’ Cup.
Thirteen cities will host the championship - Glasgow (Scotland), London (England), Dublin (Ireland), Brussels (Belgium), Bilbao (Spain), Munich (Germany), Budapest (Hungary), Bucharest (Romania), Baku (Azerbaijan), Copenhagen (Denmark), Rome (Italy), Amsterdam (Netherlands) and St. Petersburg (Russia).
