Onlookers were shocked and delighted when the musical icon set up shop in the middle of the station concourse, performing a piano medley on the instrument which had been rolled into the place for the performance. John completed the impromptu gig by signing the piano with the note, "Enjoy this piano. It`s a gift. Love, Elton John."
The musician later posted a photo of the event to his Instagram page, with the caption: "Surprise!! I popped into St Pancras International to christen the Yamaha piano which I donated to the station. Now everyone can have a play."

That`s one way to brighten up the commute, certainly. Sir Elton John caused an early morning stir by turning up to London`s St. Pancras International station for a surprise performance.
