Moscow airports cancel over 100 flights due to blizzard
A total of 111 flights scheduled to depart from Moscow airports were canceled and over 80 were delayed on Wednesday due to heavy snow in the Moscow Region, according to information on the airports
Domodedovo International Airport canceled 10 flights scheduled for Wednesday, while Sheremetyevo International Airport canceled 97 flights and Vnukovo canceled four, according to the airports` online departure timetables.

According to Sheremetyevo’s press service, the airport is continuing to operate normally, despite the difficult weather conditions.

The blizzard started in Moscow late on Tuesday. More than half of the average monthly snowfall fell in the Russian capital on late Tuesday and early Wednesday. Thick fog is expected to cover the Moscow Region by late evening.
