Leyla Aliyeva to speak at the House of Lords
A conference `Prospects of European multiculturalism: interreligious dialogue and Azerbaijani model of tolerance` is due at the House of Lords in London on 8 November
The conference is organized by the Public organization of youth Odlar Yurdu in Britain and Anglo-Azerbaijani Society with the support of the State Committee for Work with Religious Formations and the embassy of Azerbaijan in Great Britain.

The co-chair of the Anglo-Azerbaijani Society, member of the Upper Chamber of the British parliament Lord German Freizer, vice president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, general coordinator for intercultural dialogue of the OIC Youth Forum Leyla Aliyeva, chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Formations Elshad Isgandarov.

Commenting on the importance of this event, which is held on such an influential level in Great Britain, chairman of the Odlar Yurdu association Ilham Nagiyev said that `it is the first time that the Azerbaijani model of interreligious tolerance of dialogue will be discussed in terms of prospects of multiculturalism in Europe. During the conference initiated by Leyla Aliyeva on international presentation of the unique model of Azerbaijani tolerance, the participants will be informed about the history of world religions in the territory of Azerbaijan and national model of interreligious dialogue and cooperation`.

Azerbaijani ambassador in Great Britain Fahraddin Gurbanov, Azerbaijani scientists, activists of the religious communities of Azerbaijan representing different religious trends including Islam, Christianity, Judaism and Baptism, representatives of the Youth Forum of the Organization of Islamic Conference will speak during the plenary sessions.

The event will be attended by deputies of the British parliament, scientists from the influential British academic centers, journalists, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in London and leading religious communities of Great Britain.

This conference is extremely important in terms of presentation of the relations of tolerance and mutual respect to religious confessions in Azerbaijan on the European arena. It should especially be noted that the event is due at the building of the parliament-the legislative body of Great Britain, the country which is considered the cradle of democracy and an active player in discussions related to crisis of multiculturalism in Europe.
