Canada Launches First Airstrikes Against ISIS in Iraq
Canadian fighter plans launched their first airstrikes against ISIS since joining the U.S.-led coalition against the militants, Canada`s defense minister said in a statement. Canada is reeling from two separate apparent terror attacks on Canadian Parliament and military personnel.

Canada`s defense minister, Rob Nicholson, said in a statement Sunday that F-18s dropped 500-pound laser-guided bombs on ISIS targets in the area of Fallujah, Iraq, in a four-hour mission. He did not provide further details, but said the strike demonstrates Canada`s "firm resolve" to fight terrorism and stand with its allies against ISIS "atrocities against innocent women, children and men."
