Avanesyan, who is being kept in prison in Shusha, lodged an appeal and awaits the next hearing scheduled for November 18, APA reports quoting Forum 18 news service.
The separatist regime reported that he`s a criminal who must pay the price for his crime. His family said Avanesyan, an Armenian citizen, was arrested in Armenia, where he had applied for alternative civilian service, and transfer back to Karabakh was illegal.
Though an alternative military service is allowed in Armenia, the separatist regime stated that a civilian alternative to military service is impossible as long as Karabakh is in a military state.
