Germany shuts consulate in Istanbul on terror fear
The consulate said it received a warning that was "not conclusively verifiable," but was closing the facilities as a precaution.
The consulate said in an email to German citizens that both facilities would stay shut as a precaution, the email said. It also urged German citizens to stay away from the area.

The German consulate is located in the vicinity of Taksim Square with the school a mile away in the Istiklal Caddesi pedestrian area.

The move comes days after 37 people were killed ina car bomb blast in the capital, Ankara. The German embassy in Ankara had warned German citizens to be careful.

Fear of terror attacks spread across Turkey after Sunday`s deadly attack in Ankara. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack but fingers of blame have been pointed at Kurdish separatists.
