Azerbaijan-Poland friendship monument to be unveiled
Mugham concert and the opening of a friendship monument will take place in Poland`s Gniezno.
A mugham concert and the opening of a friendship monument will take place in Poland`s Gniezno to mark the 540th anniversary of Azerbaijan-Poland diplomatic relations and 20th anniversary of restoration of these relations.

A delegation of Azerbaijan led by Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Adalet Valiyev will be visiting Poland on this occasion.

The delegation includes authors of the monument Salkhab Mammadov and Ali Abadullayev, Akif Asgarov as well as mugham performers Tayyar Bayramov, Arzu Aliyeva, Rovshan Gurbanov, and Khayyam Mammadov.

The history of Azerbaijan-Poland relations trace back to the relationship between Akkoyunlu state and the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. The government of Azerbaijan safeguards catholic church and other buildings built by Polish community in Ganja, Baku, Zagatala and Guba.

The delegation is scheduled to meet with Gniezno administration and officials.
