European Immunization Week starts in Georgia
The European Immunization Week will be held in Georgia on April 22-27.
The European Immunization Week is held annually at the initiative of the WHO Regional Office for Europe (WHO/Europe), Georgian National Center for Disease Control and Public Health told Trend on Monday.
The goal of European Immunization Week is to increase vaccination coverage by raising awareness of the importance of immunization.
"Immunization should be important and a priority for the society and the state. In the situation of the current outbreak of rubella it is necessary to protect public health and, in particular children, by enhancing the vaccination process," the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health said.
