SOCAR launches office in Greece
State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) will launch an office in Athena, Greece, said the SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev in his interview to Greek Bridging Europe publishing.
Abdullayev said SOCAR is still main claimer which is participant of the tender in the privatization process of DESFA company: “The process is expected to be fully completed in the months coming. DESFA is the first project of SOCAR in this scale among the EU countries and we are pleased to be in cooperation with our Greek partners in this process”.

He noted that Greece is one of the countries that TAP passes through and plays an important role in implementation of this project: “As a result of our increasing assets n Greece, we decided to open a country office in Athena. After fully establishment of SOCAR Energy Greece SA, this will be facilitated”.

Abdullayev stressed that Greece is a reliable strategic partner for Azerbaijan.
