Turkish cabinet prepares for special meeting
Council of Ministers to meet outside Ankara for first time in 13 years
A Turkish cabinet meeting will convene on Monday in the country’s southeastern province of Sanliurfa – the first time in 13 years it has taken place outside the capital, Ankara.

Prime Ministry sources on Sunday said Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu would travel to Sanliurfa on Sunday night.

Davutoglu is expected to attend a ceremony, presenting a medal to the province for its citizens’ heroic acts during the Turkish War of Independence.

The Council of Ministers last convened outside Ankara in Turkey’s eastern province of Sivas in 2003.
