Cispa bill on cyber security passed by the US House
The House of Representatives approved legislation aimed at helping to thwart electronic attacks on critical US infrastructure and private companies.
The House backed the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA), which would encourage companies and the federal government to share private information collected on the internet to prevent electronic attacks from cybercriminals, foreign governments and terrorists. Accordingly, CISPA is designed to help combat cyberthreats by making it easier for law enforcers to get at web data.

The White House issued a veto threat against CISPA last year, in part, because of concerns that it lacked sufficient privacy protections for people`s information online.

CISPA could fail again in the Senate after threats from President Obama to veto it over privacy concerns.
