Azerbaijani State Border Service and Georgian Border Police have today signed the project. The signing ceremony was attended by representatives of the EU delegations to Azerbaijan and Georgia, as well as officials of Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, State Border Service, State Customs Committee and Georgian relevant government agencies, representatives of the UNDP offices in Azerbaijan and Georgia, the OSCE Baku Office and embassies of the EU member states in Azerbaijan. The document was signed by chief of the Azerbaijani State Border Service Farhad Taghizade and deputy head of the Georgian Border Police, Director of the Land Border Defense Department Giorgi Turiashvili. The project worth €5,600,000 will be implemented by the International Migration Policy Development Centre within the framework of the project “Integrated Border Management System in the South Caucasus”.
