Three political parties closed down in Turkey
Three political parties have been closed down in Turkey, the `Resmi Gazete` newspaper reported May 3.
The Justice and Salvation Party, Ergenekon Party and Green Party were closed down on May 3 in accordance with the decision of Turkey`s Constitutional Court.

The decision was made after the mentioned parties appealed to the Constitutional Court over the lack of political interest in them by the population.

Only four out of 97 political parties in Turkey are represented in the parliament.

During the parliamentary election held in Turkey on Nov.1 of 2015, the Justice and Development Party garnered 49.41 percent of votes, Republican People`s Party (CHP) - 25.38 percent, the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) - 11.93 percent and the Peoples` Democratic Party (HDP) - 10.7 percent.
