Iran Air suspends flights to Baku
Iran Air national airline of Iran has temporarily suspended the operation of flights on Tehran-Baku-Tehran route, the company’s Baku office told on Dec.2.

Iran Air’s Baku office said that it is expected to resume the flights on this route from February 2015, however, the causes of suspension of the flights were not specified.

Another source said that the flights to Baku has been temporarily suspended due to the lack of aircraft in the Iran Air company in connection with the Hajj pilgrimage.

The source said that due to large Hajj pilgrimage passenger flow, the airline has attracted more aircraft which fly between Tehran and Baku to reduce the load.

"This passenger flow will decrease by late January and the flights to Baku will be resumed,” the source said.

The airline operates flights to Baku two times a week - on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
