Bodies of 12 Iranian officers still in terrorist grip in Syria
The bodies of 12 Iranian officers killed last week in Syria are still held by terrorist groups while nine of them have been transferred to Iran, said Hosseinali Rezaee, deputy commander of Mazandaran Karbala Corps where the officers come from.
He said that in addition to the bodies, 21 officers who had been injured in the tragedy are also now in Iran, ISNA news agency reported May 10.

On May 7, Iran`s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced 13 of its military advisers had been killed and 21 others wounded in Syria.

Forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad suffered heavy losses as insurgents seized Khan Touman Village in southern Aleppo on May 6.

Iranian officials have constantly said that the IRGC provides the Syrian army with advisory support in fight against the terrorist groups.
