See world through cat`s eyes - PHOTOS
The American artists and researcher Nickolay Lamm decided to show the difference between cats
The result has proved to be a great success mostly because it helps people to better understand these wonderful and beloved animals!

The author of the project investigated this issue thoroughly consulting with many ophthalmologists and zoologists. As a result, he created a set of deliberate pictures which demonstrate the peculiarities of cats’ vision.

The following photographs show how the visual world is perceived by humans and felines:

Cats’ field of vision is 20 degrees wider than humans’ that is why cats can see more objects on their left and right than we do.

Cats’ visual world is not so bright and colorful as people’s due to a different set of receptors on their retina, but it’s a mistake to think that these animals see the world only as black and white.

During day time people’s visual acuity is 10 times as high as cats’: these animals are unable to clearly see objects located at a distance more than 6 meters.

If a cat flew on board a plane over San Francisco it would see the city like this.

However, at night cats see six or eight times better than people do.
