Russia can only stimulate the process in the settlement of conflicts in the post-Soviet area, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at a press conference held in Basel.
The FM noted Russia can only play a stimulating role and as a mediator offer equal support to the sides: “The sides should cautiously approach their achievements for a settlement to the conflict.”
Sergei Lavrov also touched upon the Karabakh issue, noting that there have been advancements and setbacks in the regulation of this conflict.
“Even the concept of the negotiations has undergone some changes at times. The co-chairs have provided every type of support to the process. In general, the Minsk Group trio is an example of international mediation. There is a fine friendly cooperation and coordination among the co-chairs,” he added.
