`Turkey should buy more gas from Azerbaijan to reduce dependence on Russia`

Ukraine officially offered Turkish companies to use gas storehouses located in the west of the country, Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey Sergey Korsunsky told Turkish Aksam newspaper.

According to him, despite there is not an official agreement on it, Ukrainian Naftogaz and Turkish BOTAS are negotiating: “Turkish specialists have already got familiarized with our storehouses”.

Drawing attention to purchase of 27 bcm of gas by Turkey from Russia per year, the ambassador said that Ankara cannot completely reduce dependence on Russian gas, but it can reduce it to the minimum: “Turkish should buy more gas from Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan”.
