During the meeting Pashazade spoke of the religious situation in the country and mutual relations between the representatives of various religions.
He said religious tolerance is Azerbaijani people’s lifestyle and close cooperation between various religious leaders also testifies it.
Pashazade said he has been chairing the Supreme Religious Council of Caucasian Peoples since 1992, stressing that along with Muslims, Christians and Jews also united within the organization.
Dereck Hogan, in his turn, said he made visits to Azerbaijan’s regions where he held meetings with representatives of various religions, adding during these meetings he underlined Pashazade’s role in the strengthening of tolerance.
The sides exchanged views on mutual relations and other issues of mutual interest.
