It is reported that the Turkmen leader named fuel and energy, transport and communication spheres among the fastest growing areas of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
“However, not all reserves are yet involved in the intensification of cooperation,” said the article of the agency. “New opportunities open up in connection with grandiose plans of Turkmenistan for tourism, competitive domestic transport complex and port infrastructure development as well.”
It is also reported that Croatian Prime Minister expressed "the aspiration of Croatian companies for participation in the implementation of the national programs and major socio-economic projects in such areas as energy, transport, shipbuilding, metal working."
Ashgabat and Zagreb actively cooperate in the field of transport, the news agency said.
It is reported that The State Service of Maritime and River Transportation of Turkmenistan ordered two RoPax ferries to the company Uljanik Brodogradiliste d.d. (Uljanik Shipyard Joint-Stock Company), the first of which arrived in the Turkmen port Dec.5.
Croatia previously said that it supported Turkmenistan`s efforts on ensuring global energy security and the development of mechanisms of reliable and stable transit of energy carriers to the world markets.
Turkmenistan is one of the key players on the energy market of the Caspian region and Central Asia, and the country advocates the diversification of routes. At this stage, delivery options of Turkmen fuel to Europe via the Caspian Sea and Azerbaijan are actively studied.
