The letter was written in two copies, one of which was sent to the UN Secretary-General and the other to the Chairman of the UN Security Council.
According to the letter, Israel committed a “heinous crime” against Syrian sovereignty having launched airstrikes on safe areas in the Dimus region and the Damascus International Airport on Sunday.
According to the message, the Israeli air attack is seen as support to the armed terrorist groups in Syria, especially in light of recent advances the Syrian army made in a number of areas.
