21st session of the OSCE Ministerial Council ends in Basel
The 21st Session of the Council of Ministers of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) came to an end in Basel.
19 resolutions were adopted in the second working day of the session. Resolutions focused on security and human rights, gender issues, joint efforts to combat terrorism, peaceful resolution of conflicts, etc.

Due to the lack of consensus on Ukraine, the final document in this regard was not adopted. Speaking at the final press conference of OSCE Chairman Didier Burkhalter said that only genuine ceasefire in the east of Ukraine may give rise to a peaceful settlement of the conflict. "If the ceasefire will be respected in the next week, then we can talk about some progress," said Burkhalter. He also called on Russia to make efforts in this direction, while stressing the importance of implementing the Minsk Agreement.
