Reforms in Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have quickened after sharp decline in oil price, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Suma Chakrabarti, who is on a visit to Astana, Kazakhstan, said on May 26.
“We must acknowledge that Kazakhstan is quickly conducting reforms. We have also provided our support to this process. Our bank has allocated $1.4 billion to funding of 50 projects. Analogical processes are underway in Azerbaijan too. Turkmenistan also intends to take these steps”, Charkabarti said.
