Kazakh National Security Committee denies existence of Liberation Army
The National Security Committee of Kazakhstan has denied the existence of the organization `Liberation Army of Kazakhstan`, which allegedly claimed responsibility for the armed attacks in Aktobe.
The National Security Committee said that the `Liberation Army of Kazakhstan` does not exist.

In this regard, the KNB urged the local media "to apply to KNB for confirmation or a comment" when republishing or citing "foreign nonofficial media."

The KNB also recalled that, in accordance with paragraph 3 of Article 242-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, "spread of false information is subject to fine or 2-5 years imprisonment."
