In her interview with reporters at the airport Maja Gojkovic said that it was her first visit to Azerbaijan as the Chairman of the Parliament of Serbia. She said that the purpose of her visit is to further develop cooperation between the parliaments of Azerbaijan and Serbia. Chairman of the National Assembly of Serbia said:
"Inter-parliamentary relations are at a high level, but we will further strengthen these ties through direct dialogue."
