Azerbaijan intends to launch new border-crossing points on border with Iran
Azerbaijan plans to launch border-crossing points on the border with Iran, deputy chairman of Azerbaijani State Customs Committee Asger Abdullayev told journalists.
“Particularly, it’s needed to launch a border-crossing point in Bilasuvar. Related negotiations are being conducted and an agreement has almost been reached. Moreover, Iranian side agreed for 24-hour operation of Bilasuvar border-crossing point. You know that intensity is observed there. 24-hour operation of that point is important for delivery of loads to Nakhchivan within a day”, Abdullayev said.

He also noted that Azerbaijani side is also interested in launch of Khdaferin border-crossing point in the future.
