Asadov said the Azerbaijani government attached great importance to cooperation with the European Union member countries.
He noted Azerbaijan was a democratic country, which is successfully integrating into Europe. He said Azerbaijan supported the EU`s policy on enlargement to the East, adding the country had implemented important measures under this policy.
Head of the ECR delegation Martin Callanan said Azerbaijan was an important partner for the EU, and that the organization was interested in cooperation with the country.
