Mahcupyan:Making concessions on Armenian genocide is impossible
Senior Advisor to Turkish Prime Minister Etienne Mahcupyan has announced the conditions for opening of the borders, AzVision.az reports quoting RIA Novosti.
Mahcupyan said Armenia and Turkey can reach an agreement on the opening of the borders only on the basis of a complete settlement. “The matter is about both the Turkish-Armenian and Azerbaijani-Armenian relations”, he added.

Referring to the 100th anniversary of the so-called Armenian genocide, Mahcupyan mentioned that April 24, 2015 is a very symbolic date and the coming of this date causes an aggravation of radicalism in the Armenian circles and they take an uncompromising approach to this issue.

The senior advisor said that he doesn’t believe Turkey will pass satisfactory deCISions in accordance with the requirements of the Armenian side.

“Turkey’s making concessions in the issues of the Armenian genocide and opening of borders is impossible with such an approach of the Armenian side,” said Mahcupyan. However, Turkey can take any steps in this matter only a year later – after tensions ease.

Mahcupyan recalled that former Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan regarded the events of 1915 as the pain of the two countries for the first time in the history of the country this year.

"This is the limit. Turkey will never go beyond this limit,” said Mahcupyan.
