Princess of Jordan hosts cocktail evening in Baku for FEI General Assembly participant-PHOTOS
President of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI), Princess of Jordan, Her Royal Highness Haya Bint Al Hussein hosted a cocktail evening for participants of FEI General Assembly in Baku.
The event was held at the “Dagustu Park Cafe”, and was attended by Azerbaijani Equestrian Federation president, Head of the State Border Service (SBS) of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Elchin Guliyev, FEI representatives, the delegates of the national federations and special guests.

The evening took place in a very warm and friendly atmosphere. Guests were served delicious meat and fish dishes, a variety of cocktails, drinks and national Azerbaijani sweets.

This evening was remarkable for the fact that Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein decided not to run for the third term of the FEI president, which she headed since 2006.

From 11 to 14 December, Baku hosts FEI General Assembly attended by 350 representatives of the Federation and distinguished guests from 110 countries, which is a record in the history of the FEI General Assembly.

The General Assembly of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) is one of the key events in the world of equestrian sport. It is held annually in different cities, and this year for the first time was held in Baku.

The forum, which brings together representatives of all national equestrian federation, discussed and resolved the most important issues of all equestrian disciplines, funding issues, management, etc.

The ‘Mangal Steak House’ restaurant in Baku hosted a gala dinner titled ‘Welcome to Azerbaijan!’ for the participants of the International Equestrian Federation’s General Assembly, organized by the Equestrian Federation of Azerbaijan (ARAF).

The festive evening guests were served delicious meals of Azerbaijani national cuisine. They also watched a concert program with the participation of folk music and mugham performers, and dance groups.

The guests also enjoyed tours in Baku, during which they visited the Museum of Carpet, the National Flag Square, Heydar Aliyev Center and "Gala" State Historical and Ethnographic Reserve.
