TANAP drives Turkey
Turkey
In 2015, Turkish pipemakers produced and delivered almost half of the 950,000 metric tonnes of pipe they will supply for TANAP, Cebid general secretary Mehmet Zeren told.

The construction of TANAP started in 2015. When completed in 2018, the 1,800-kilometer (1,118-mile) pipeline is expected to carry 16 billion cubic meters/year of natural gas from Azerbaijan through Turkey to Europe. Turkish pipemakers will supply 80% of the 1.2 million tonnes of pipe required for the pipeline, and China’s Baosteel will deliver the remaining 20%.
