The Pope attends a "Divine Liturgy," as the Armenian Apostolic Mass rite is known. He participates with the patriarch of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Catholicos Karekin II.
The ceremony is held in the Square of Saint Tiridates in Echmiadzin, the "Vatican" of the Armenian Apostolic Church. It is unusual that this liturgy has open ceremonies.
The place seats about 10 thousand people.
