Alexander Lukashenko: Russian market collapsed, we must expand into new markets
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has set the government at any cost to find new markets for Belarusian goods, AzVision.az reports citing BelTA.
"We can`t all the time to pray for one Russia, although this brotherly country. Because, you see, this market has collapsed - and then we flew," he said, noting that today in the Russian market are sold only 40-45 products, instead of 85 percent, as it was previously,” he said.

Lukashenko added that what is happening in Ukraine, one of the main partners of Belarus also influences the situation. “You see what is going on in Ukraine, a war goes on in this country, one of our major markets and it is not going to buy tractors, MAZ, BelAZ from us”.

The president noted that Belarus has reduced the dependence on a single market, "but, as you can see, even a little". "Therefore, any price we must expand into new markets. And it is possible", said Lukashenko.

The president, drawing attention to the need for export diversification, cited a number of Belarusian companies, which managed to enter the American market. "Lift all sanctions, and we trade with them. So, you can," he said, stressing that the country has such a difficult situation "never was".

"This does not mean that we will fold hands and will wait for better times. We are in this situation need to show their worth. Next year is our exam", - concluded the president.
