Ziyafat Asgarov: Korea-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group promotes bilateral relations
First Vice-Speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament Ziyafat Asgarov discussed developing relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Korea as he met the delegation led by the chairman of Korea-Azerbaijan interparliamentary friendship group of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Hwang Young Cheol.
Mr Asgarov noted that bilateral relations increased further by the mutual visits of the presidents of the two countries. He hailed Korea-Azerbaijan interparliamentary friendship group, noting that it makes certain contribution to the development of bilateral relations as well.

Mr Asgarov noted the visit of the delegation of friendship group will have a positive impact on the development of bilateral relations.

Noting that construction of a number of sports facilities for inaugural European Games to be held in 2015 have been entrusted to Korean companies, Ziyafat Asgarov stressed the importance of expanding activities of these companies.

Providing an insight into the progress made in recent years in all areas in Azerbaijan the Vice-Speaker touched upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict as well.

Expressing satisfaction with the visit, Hwang Young Cheol in his turn praised the rapid development of Azerbaijan. He stressed the importance of cooperation in political and economic spheres between the two countries.

The chairman of the friendship group said they would review the activities of Korean companies operating in the country and spare no efforts in expanding the activities of companies.

During the meeting, the prospects for the development of relations between Azerbaijan and the Republic of Korea and other issues of mutual interest were discussed.
