1 day passes since Yerevan police station attack, night was calm - PHOTOS
More than 24 hours have passed since the incident that occurred in a police station in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan, and the armed group is still holding several policemen hostage.
No incident was recorded in the early morning hours on Monday.

Even though the police are patrolling the area and the armored vehicles are still in place, the law enforcement has not taken any action, AzVision.az reports citing News.am.



It became apparent at night that the gunmen have released another hostage.

According to our information, they currently hold six policemen hostage, including Deputy Chief of Police Vardan Yeghiazaryan, and Deputy Police Chief of Yerevan, Valeri Osipyan.



A group of armed men stormed into a police regiment, on early Sunday morning, and took several police officers hostage.

One officer, deputy regiment commander Artur Vanoyan, was killed. In addition, four police officers and one of the people who participated in the attack were wounded.
