Anti-terrorism HQ says no new armed seizure in Kazakhstan’s Almaty
Kazakh Almaty city’s anti-terrorism headquarters dismissed the information spread in media and social networks July 18 about new armed seizures in various parts of the city, including in Zhuldyz district and Spa center in Bostandyk district.
In its message, the Almaty city’s anti-terrorism headquarters urged the citizens to stay calm and not to give way to groundless panic.

Earlier, the building of the Almaty District Interior Department and a department of the National Security Committee were attacked.

The suspected attacker was wounded and detained by the police.

Currently, an operation is underway to detain the attacker’s accomplice.
