Turkish Foreign Minister to visit United States on July 19
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu to visit the United States on July 19, local media reported Monday, citing a diplomatic source.
According to the Star newspaper, Cavusoglu will arrive to Washington to discuss possible extradition of Islamic cleric Fethullah Gulen, accused by the Turkish government of organizing the military coup attempt.

Late on Friday, Turkish authorities said that an attempted military coup took place in the country, which they blamed on a group led by Gulen. Turkish authorities called on the Obama administration to extradite Gulen who lives in self-imposed exile within the United States.
