Azerbaijani President: `In order to achieve a normal level in the relations, Armenia must stop aggressive policy`
The more we are powerful, the quicker we can resolve the conflict
`Today, the ongoing conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan is a serious threat to peace and stability in the region`, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said addressing the South Caucasus Forum in Baku.

He stressed that Azerbaijan wants to ensure solution to this conflict within the framework of the international law: `We want to liberate our territories in accordance with the international law`.

The Head of the State reminded the oocupation fact of Azerbaijan`s Nagorno-Karabakh region and 7 adjacent regions :

`The UN has 4 resolutions regarding this issue. These resolutions demand withdrawal of Armenian militants from those lands. Unfortunately, those resolutions have not been fulfilled for more than 20 years`.

The President noted that however, Azerbaijan will continue its policy and strengthening of the stat: `We will continue economic and political reforms. The more we are powerful, the quicker we can resolve the conflict`.

The Head of State characterized relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan as the best example of regional cooperation in the South Caucasus: `Unfortunately, the relations with the third state in the South Caucasus - Armenia are strained. In order to achieve a normal level in these relations, Armenia must stop aggressive policy in the region`.
