Kazakh Majlis ratifies agreement on Armenia
Majlis (lower house) of Kazakh parliament approved the draft law
Kazakh Minister of National Economy Yerbolat Dossayev reminded that the agreement on Armenia’s joining the EAU was signed by the presidents of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia in Minsk on Oct.10, 2014.

Once the agreement enters into force, Armenia will become a member of the Eurasian Economic Union and undertake obligations envisaged in the Treaty on EAU and the legal framework of the Customs Union and EAU.

The reference materials distributed during the meeting said that Kazakhstan’s trade turnover with Armenia is equal to $7 million.

In connection with Armenia’s joining EAU, negotiations will be held with World Trade Organization (WTO) members on changing Armenia’s tariff commitments in accordance with WTO rules.
