EU says no entrance for Turkey if death penalty in country restored
The EU will stop talks on Turkey`s EU accession if Ankara restores the death penalty, RIA Novosti reported July 25 citing Jean-Claude Juncker, president of the European Commission, as saying.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared a three-month state of emergency in Turkey July 20 in accordance with the Article 120 of the Constitution in order to eliminate all factors of the terrorist organization that earlier attempted to stage a military coup in the country.

On July 15 evening, Turkish authorities said a military coup attempt took place in the country.

Meanwhile, a group of servicemen announced about transition of power to them.

However, the rebelling servicemen started to surrender July 16 and Turkish authorities said the coup attempt failed.

More than 200 people have been killed as a result of the coup attempt.
