Kazakh parliament ratifies agreement on Armenia
Kazakh parliament approved the draft law
“The agreement on Armenia’s joining the Eurasian Economic Union was signed by the presidents of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia in Minsk on Oct.10, 2014. Once the agreement enters into force, Armenia will become a member of the Eurasian Economic Union,” Kazakh Minister of National Economy Yerbolat Dossayev said.

Armenia will undertake obligations envisaged in the Treaty on Eurasian Economic Union creation and the legal framework of the Customs Union and Eurasian Union.

The agreement envisages creating conditions to ensure the four freedoms within the Union: freedom of movement of goods; capital; services and labor.

In connection with Armenia’s joining Eurasian Union, negotiations will be held with World Trade Organization (WTO) members on changing Armenia’s tariff commitments in accordance with WTO rules.
