14,000 pipes delivered to Greece, Albania for TAP pipeline’s construction
The Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) Consortium said July 29 that 14,000 pipes have already been delivered to Greece and Albania for the construction of the Trans Adriatic gas pipeline.
This amount accounts for about 30 percent of all pipes that will be used for the pipeline’s construction.

TAP project envisages transportation of gas from Azerbaijan`s Shah Deniz gas and condensate field to the EU countries.

The 870-kilometer pipeline will be connected to the Trans Anatolian Pipeline (TANAP) on the Turkish-Greek border, run through Greece, Albania and the Adriatic Sea, before coming ashore in Italy`s south. Initial capacity of TAP will be 10 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
