All presidents of Georgia supported European integration
All the presidents of Georgia supported European integration, Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili said at a press-conference in Strasbourg Dec. 18.
"This is a special and important day for my country,” the president said. “We are getting closer to the European family."

He said that all the presidents of Georgia - Gamsakhurdia, Shevardnadze, Saakashvili, as well as the current government, supported this idea.

"Georgia will reach the ultimate goal,” he said. “It will become a full member of the EU and the European family.”

Georgian ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili was also in Strasbourg. The European People`s Party invited him for the ratification.

The Georgia-EU association agreement was ratified in the European Parliament.
