During the session, the meeting of ministers of the industry will take place, which will affect the issues of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Belarus in the sphere of high technologies, the message said.
The Belarusian side is interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of satellite communications, according to the message. In particular, the two countries consider the possibility of using low-orbit satellites for collaborative research conduct.
Previously, Belarus and Azerbaijan have agreed to cooperate on the use of information obtained from the Belarusian spacecraft.
In December 2014, Azerbaijan received control over low-orbit satellites SPOT 7, which was launched in June 2014 as part of the strategic cooperation between Azerbaijan and France in the space industry.
The satellite, dubbed Azersky, was handed over to Azerbaijan’s control on the basis of an agreement inked Dec. 2 at the Bakutel-2014 exhibition by Azercosmos, an Azerbaijani state-run company, and the Airbus Defence and Space.
The Azersky satellite, along with its predecessor, SPOT 6, will be used jointly with Airbus Defence and Space.
Both satellites are capable of daily surveying an area of six million square kilometers on the Earth surface, or 10 times the size of France.
The resolution of the images taken will be 1.5 meters.
