Foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have held political consultations and discussed trade and economic cooperation issues in Ashgabat, a message from Turkmen government said on Dec.19.
The UAE delegation was led by the country’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ahmad Abdul Rahman Al Jarman.

During the consultations, the sides focused on cooperation in trade, economic, financial and investment spheres.

They also exchanged views on the implementation of joint projects in various spheres of cooperation.

“Positively assessing the investment climate in Turkmenistan, the UAE delegation said that the country’s authorities have created favorable conditions for attracting investments,” said the message.

The UAE delegation expressed desire to expand the cooperation with the Turkmen side.

During the discussions, the sides expressed support to the participation of leading Arab companies in large joint projects with Turkmenistan, especially in the oil and gas sphere.
